Description

Minoa is a simple yet strategic abstract game that's all about claiming territory and outmaneuvering your opponents. Designed by Dieter Stein and released in 2014, this game is perfect for 2 to 4 players looking for a fun and challenging experience that can be learned quickly. With its unique hexagonal board divided into 96 triangles, players take turns placing sticks to delimit regions and claim territory. The game rules are easy to grasp, making it accessible to new players, but don't be fooled - the gameplay is engaging and requires strategic thinking. On each turn, players can choose to place a neutral black stick in the inner region of the board or a colored stick on the outer border, which adds a layer of complexity to the game. The goal is to create enclosed regions that can be assigned to a player, with the player controlling the largest combined territory declared the winner. With 24 exterior lines to claim and a limited number of colored sticks per player, the game requires careful planning and tactical thinking. Whether you're playing with two, three, or four players, Minoa offers a fun and competitive experience that's sure to keep you engaged for its entire 45-minute playtime.
