Description

Mint Julep: Win, Place, Show is a thrilling expansion to the original Mint Julep game, designed by Dan Letzring, that adds a new layer of excitement to your horse racing experience. With this expansion, 2 to 4 players can enjoy the game, which can be explained in no time thanks to its simple rules. Published in 2018, it's a great way to breathe new life into the base game, introducing new opportunities for strategic betting and bluffing. The gameplay is quick, lasting around 20 to 30 minutes, making it perfect for a fun, casual gathering with friends. The expansion introduces a new way to bet, allowing players to place an extra wager with the Win, Place, Show card. This card can be slipped under any other bet card, and its payout is based on the horse's placement. If the bet is correct, it pays out a handsome reward of 3 points for a win, 2 points for a place, and 3 points for a show. This addition takes the game up a notch, introducing more possibilities for players to outmaneuver each other. With the card drafting mechanism, players will need to think carefully about which cards to pick and when to place their bets, all while trying to bluff their way to the top. The Mint Julep: Win, Place, Show expansion is a fantastic way to refresh your gaming experience, especially for fans of racing and card games. As part of the November 2018 Board Game of the Month Club package, it's clear that this expansion was designed to bring new excitement to the table. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the world of Mint Julep, this expansion is sure to delight, offering a fresh challenge and more opportunities for fun and social interaction with friends and family.
