Description

Namma Bengaluru is a game that takes you on a journey to the heart of India's Silicon City, Bangalore, where the bustling IT industry meets the city's rich heritage. The game's name, which translates to "Our Bengaluru" in the native language Kannada, is a nod to the publisher's hometown and the city's unique spirit. In this game, you'll get to plan and build neighborhoods in Bengaluru, mixing and matching different types of tiles to create a thriving cityscape. With two to four players, you'll compete to score the most points by building patterns and neighborhoods that match the cards in your hand. The game starts with each player having a hand of two tiles and a neighborhood card that shows a way to score points. As you take turns, you can play a tile into the city, matching types or roads to do so, or swap your tiles for new ones to get the pieces you need. You can also draw new neighborhood cards or remove ones you don't need to make room for more opportunities. The game mechanics of card drafting, pattern building, and tile placement come together to create a challenging yet fun experience that will keep you engaged for 30 to 45 minutes. With five types of tiles to work with, you'll need to think strategically about how to build your neighborhoods and maximize your score. As the game comes to a close, each player reveals their neighborhood cards and scores points for the patterns they've built in the city. Some cards offer bonus points for placing tiles in just the right spot, so you'll need to balance your strategy with a bit of luck. The player with the most points wins, unless there's a tie, in which case the player with fewer cards in hand is declared the winner. With its unique blend of city-building and pattern-matching, Namma Bengaluru is a game that will appeal to fans of strategy and planning, and its compact playtime makes it perfect for a quick gaming session with friends or family.
