Description
Naturopolis: Elevation is a thrilling expansion to the base game Naturopolis, designed by Danny Devine and released in 2024. This game is perfect for 1 to 4 players looking for a quick and fun experience, with a playtime of just 15 minutes. The rules are incredibly simple, making it easy to dive right in and start playing. As an expansion, Elevation adds a new layer of excitement to the original game, introducing a set of 6 cards that feature bears and salmon, which can be used to create a more dynamic and challenging terrain. The gameplay is straightforward, yet strategic. Players start by setting up the game as normal, then shuffling the Elevation cards into the deck. The first card placed establishes the lowest altitude on the mountain, and all subsequent cards must be placed either on the same row or on a higher row, provided they are supported by blocks beneath them. When an expansion card is drawn, it must be played immediately, either on its bear side or its salmon side. These blocks can't be covered later, adding an extra layer of strategy to the game. The goal is to create a landscape where bears are at a higher altitude than salmon on the same river, scoring 2 points for each successful combination, while avoiding unfed bears that will cost 2 points each. With its simple yet engaging gameplay, Naturopolis: Elevation is a great addition to the Naturopolis series. The short playtime and easy-to-learn rules make it accessible to players of all ages and skill levels. The expansion adds a new level of depth to the original game, introducing new challenges and opportunities for strategy and creativity. Whether you're a fan of the original game or just looking for a fun and quick board game experience, Naturopolis: Elevation is definitely worth checking out.
