Description

In the frozen landscape of Antarctica, a secret battle is unfolding. It's 1938 and the Third Reich has established a covert base, known as Base 211, in the uncharted territory of Neuschwabenland. As the Germans develop advanced weaponry, they begin to encounter strange and terrifying creatures, unlike anything they've seen before. These 2m tall worm-like beasts and house-high monstrosities pose a significant threat, prompting the high command to mobilize their troops and prepare for a desperate fight for survival. In Neuschwabenland, you'll take on the role of either the German forces or the alien invaders, engaging in a tactical struggle for control of the Antarctic region. The game is designed for 2 players, although it's also highly suitable for solo play, and typically lasts between 30 to 60 minutes. With its normal complexity rules, fans of board games will have no trouble diving in and learning the mechanics. The Germans have access to advanced equipment, including the UFO-like Haunebu flying machine, but harsh weather conditions limit their unit activation. In contrast, the aliens rely on sheer numbers and can activate all their units, making them formidable opponents in close combat. As you navigate the treacherous landscape, you'll need to utilize the unique abilities of your units to outmaneuver your opponent. The game includes a map of the Antarctic region, a set of 88 counters, and 6 scenarios to test your skills. With its blend of science fiction and World War II elements, Neuschwabenland offers a unique and thrilling experience. The combat system, inspired by the classic game Space Crusade, adds an extra layer of depth to the gameplay. Whether you're a fan of tactical combat, science fiction, or alternative history, Neuschwabenland has something to offer, making it a compelling addition to any board game collection.
