Description

Imagine yourself in a serene Japanese garden, where strategic moves and clever thinking are the keys to success. In Niwa, a game designed by Wilfried Fort and Marie Fort, two players engage in a battle of wits, navigating their way through the garden to reach their opponent's temple. The game is easy to learn, but don't be fooled - there's a depth of strategy that will keep you on your toes. With a playtime of just 10 to 20 minutes, Niwa is the perfect game for a quick but intense challenge. As you make your way through the garden, you'll use point to point movement to advance your three kokeshi figurines, each with its own set of beads that determine how it can move. You can choose to move a figurine, passing its beads to another one, or simply pass a bead from one figurine to another. If a figurine has no beads, you can even use it to jump over another one, adding a fun and unpredictable element to the game. The first player to get one of their figurines to their opponent's temple wins, so you'll need to think carefully about each move to outmaneuver your opponent and emerge victorious. With its simple yet strategic gameplay, Niwa is a great choice for fans of abstract strategy games looking for a fun and challenging experience.
