Description

Imagine you’ve already built a solid medieval kingdom with Norenberc, and now the town’s buzzing with fresh faces, new jobs, and extra intrigue. That’s exactly what Norenberc: Bonus Townsmen drops into the mix—a cheeky, richly detailed expansion that throws a handful of extra townsfolk into the already bustling streets of your base game. Suddenly you’re juggling more than just stone and timber; you’re balancing a growing roster of workers, each with their own quirks and specialties, and that extra layer of decision‑making makes every round feel like a tiny political drama. Designed by Andreas Steding and released back in 2010, this expansion is built for 2 to 5 players and slides right into the 90‑minute sweet spot you’ve come to love from the original. The rules do get a little denser—think of them as the “advanced class” of medieval city‑building—but once the pieces click, the payoff is massive. You’ll find yourself plotting out new trade routes, assigning townsmen to specific projects, and watching the ripple effects of every choice ripple across the board. It’s the kind of complexity that makes you want to pull the rulebook out for a second read, then grin when the strategy finally clicks. If you’ve enjoyed the base game’s mix of resource management and tactical placement, Bonus Townsmen cranks the fun up a notch. More characters means more opportunities for clever combos, unexpected alliances, and that satisfying feeling when you finally pull off a perfect town layout. So gather a handful of friends, roll out the extra tiles, and let the medieval hustle begin—because in Norenberc, a few more townsmen can turn a good kingdom into a legendary one.
