Description

Olustee is a simulation of the Battle of Olustee, the only major battle fought in Florida during the American Civil War. The game is designed for 2 players and features a hexagon grid, making it easy to learn and navigate. Players take on the roles of Union and Confederate forces, with the Union aiming to disrupt the Confederate food supply and the Confederates seeking to repel the invasion. The game is set in 1864, and players must use strategy and tactics to outmaneuver each other in the open pine woods near Olustee Station. The game's simplicity and short playtime make it an engaging and accessible experience for fans of wargames and the American Civil War. With its medium complexity and solitaire suitability, Olustee is a great option for those looking for a challenging yet enjoyable game. The game's designer, Charles L. Diamond, has created a simulation that is both historically accurate and fun to play. Using a modified version of SPI's Blue & Gray rules, Olustee offers a unique and immersive gaming experience that will transport players back to the battlefields of the American Civil War.
