Description

Pleasant Dreams is a quick and simple card game for one or two players that drops you into a dreamworld where nightmares lurk around every corner. With a playtime of just 10 minutes, you'll be in and out of this surreal landscape before you know it, but the experience will leave you wanting more. Designed by Aerjen Tamminga and published in 2015, this game is all about navigating the fragile world of dreams, where the pleasant and the terrifying coexist. As you delve into the dreamworld, you'll need to decide which elements to hold onto and which to discard, all while trying to outmaneuver your opponent. The game is all about pushing your luck, as you choose how many dream fragments to resolve each turn. The pleasant ones will help you relax and stay in the dream state, while the unpleasant ones will bring you closer to waking up in a cold sweat. But here's the twist - some of those cards can come back to haunt you later, and you get to secretly insert them back into the deck, setting up a potential nightmare for your opponent. With its simple rules and fast-paced gameplay, Pleasant Dreams is a thrilling experience that's all about strategy and a little bit of luck. Will you play it safe and try to finish the dream without waking up, or will you try to sabotage your opponent and send them screaming into the waking world?
