Description

Potlatch: A Game About Economics is a unique and engaging cooperative card game that's all about sharing resources and working together to meet each other's needs. Designed for 2 to 6 players, this easy-to-learn game can be played in just 15 to 30 minutes, making it a great addition to any game night. In Potlatch, players work together to ensure that all houses have their resource needs met by the end of the game, making it a true collaborative experience where everyone succeeds or fails together. The game is inspired by the traditional Potlatch ceremonies of the indigenous peoples of the Pacific NW coast, where resources and wealth were shared and redistributed to affirm social status and maintain a high level of food production and accessibility. This educational game is not only fun to play, but it also teaches players about important economic concepts and the value of sharing and cooperation. With its simple rules and cooperative gameplay, Potlatch is a great game for families, classrooms, and anyone looking to learn about economics and indigenous cultures in a fun and interactive way. Published in 2018, Potlatch is a great way to spend time with friends and family while learning something new and valuable.
