Description

Rapscallion is a fast-paced and exciting card game where 2 to 6 players compete to create the best poker hand. With a playtime of just 45 minutes, this game is perfect for a quick game night with friends or family. The rules are easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, but don't let that fool you - the game requires strategic thinking and cunning to outbid your opponents. Published in 2008 and designed by Ted Alspach, Rapscallion has been delighting players for years with its unique auction bidding mechanism. In Rapscallion, players take turns bidding for playing cards using special bidding cards and powerful Rapscallions. These Rapscallions are key to gaining an edge over your opponents, as they can dramatically increase your bidding power. But be careful - to get these powerful bidding cards, you'll have to give up some of the playing cards you've already won. It's a delicate balance between building a strong hand and having the bidding power to get the cards you need. As the game progresses, players earn points for their poker hands, with certain types of hands scoring higher than others. The goal is to be the first player to reach 100 points, and with the right strategy, you can outmaneuver your opponents and emerge victorious. What makes Rapscallion so engaging is the combination of luck and strategy. You'll need to carefully manage your bidding cards and Rapscallions, all while trying to outguess your opponents and stay one step ahead. With its unique blend of auction bidding and poker, Rapscallion offers a fresh twist on traditional card games. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a fun and social game to play with friends, Rapscallion is sure to deliver. So gather a group of friends, shuffle the deck, and get ready to outbid and outplay your way to victory.
