Friends and Communities with Richelieu

Description

Get ready for a game of strategy and cunning with Richelieu, a card game designed by Michael Schacht. This game is set in 1630, during the "journée des dupes", where Mary of Medici plotted to overthrow Cardinal Richelieu. In Richelieu, you'll compete against another player to collect the most cards in each color and gather specific symbols. The twist is that all the cards are laid out face up on the table, so you can see what you're up against. On each turn, you can choose to take one or two cards from the end of the rows, trying to outmaneuver your opponent to get the cards you need. With easy-to-learn rules and a playtime of just 45 minutes, Richelieu is a great game for a quick showdown with a friend. As part of the Ravensburger Fun For 2 Series, it's designed specifically for two players, making it perfect for a head-to-head battle. The game mechanics of card drafting and set collection add depth and complexity, but don't worry, it's still easy to pick up. Published in 2003, Richelieu has stood the test of time, and its simple yet strategic gameplay makes it a fun and engaging experience. So gather a friend and get ready to scheme your way to victory in this exciting card game.
