Description

Rummy 17 is a fast-paced and engaging card game that's all about getting rid of your cards to earn points. Designed by the renowned Reiner Knizia and released in 2016, this game is perfect for 2 to 6 players who love a good challenge. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, you'll be up and running in no time, enjoying games that typically last around 20 minutes. The goal is to meld sets and runs, and play cards on the sets and runs of others, all while trying to be the first to discard your final card. The gameplay is made even more exciting by the introduction of goal cards, which are chosen at random at the start of each round. These cards give you a chance to score extra points if you can satisfy the goals, adding an extra layer of strategy to the game. On each turn, you'll draw a card from either the deck or the discard pile, and if you draw from the deck, other players can try to knock to take the top card from the discard pile. You'll need to lay down a set or run of at least three cards before you can play on opponents' sets and runs, and don't forget to discard one card at the end of your turn. The game also features a joker card in each of the five suits, which can be used to lay down a run as long as it includes at least three numbered cards. With its unique blend of hand management and set collection mechanics, Rummy 17 is a game that's both fun and challenging. The use of jokers and goal cards adds a fresh twist to the classic rummy formula, and the short playtime makes it perfect for a quick game with friends or family. After a predetermined number of rounds, the player with the highest score will be declared the winner, so be sure to strategize and plan your moves carefully to come out on top. Whether you're a seasoned card game enthusiast or just looking for a new game to try, Rummy 17 is definitely worth checking out.
