Description

Get ready to embark on a thrilling adventure with Runebound: The Dark Forest, an exciting expansion to the Runebound: Second Edition game. This expansion takes you deeper into the heart of Terrinoth's forests, where the elves are in decline and the trees grow closer, the creatures deadlier, and the air darker. With two to six players, you'll explore this treacherous terrain, facing new challenges and overcoming fearsome foes. The rules are easy to learn, so you can dive right in and start exploring the dark forest, discovering new adventure cards and encountering unpredictable events. The Dark Forest expansion pack introduces 30 new adventure cards, adding a fresh layer of excitement to the base game. You can seamlessly integrate these cards into your existing adventure decks, with no new rules to learn, and get started right away. This means you can keep playing your favorite game, but with new surprises and challenges to keep you on your toes. The variable player powers and dice rolling mechanics add an extra layer of strategy and unpredictability to the game, making each playthrough unique and engaging. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or just starting out, The Dark Forest expansion has something to offer, with new monsters, encounters, and events to spice up your game. Published in 2005, Runebound: The Dark Forest is a classic expansion designed by Robert Vaughn and Andrew Navaro, and it's still delivering hours of fun and excitement to players today. With a playtime of around 120 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to explore the dark forest, battle fierce creatures, and overcome the challenges that lie within. So gather your friends, grab your dice, and get ready to embark on a thrilling adventure through the dark forest, where danger lurks around every corner and the thrill of discovery awaits.
