Description

Scrimmage: Tactical Professional Football is a unique board game that brings the excitement of football to the table in a way you might not expect. First published in 1973, this game combines the strategy of a wargame with the thrill of America's favorite sport. Players take on the role of coaches, setting up their teams and running plays on a hex map football field, where every 6 hexes represents 10 yards of gridiron action. With rules covering everything from facing and movement to contact and passing, you'll need to use all your tactical skills to outmaneuver your opponent. As you play, you'll use dice rolling and grid movement to navigate the field and make key decisions about when to run, pass, or make contact with the opposing team. The game's simulation mechanics make it feel like you're really on the field, with a Contact Results Table that determines the outcome of every tackle and a Pass Completion Table that adds an element of uncertainty to every throw. With 90 minutes of playtime, you'll have plenty of time to get immersed in the game and try out different strategies. Whether you're a football fan or just looking for a fun and challenging game, Scrimmage: Tactical Professional Football is a great choice for two players looking for a fun and competitive experience.
