Description

The Water Festival is a thrilling expansion to the Seasons of Rice board game, designed by Corry Damey and published in 2019. This expansion is specifically designed for 2 players and can be learned and played in just 10 to 15 minutes, making it a great addition to your gaming collection. The game mechanics are simple to grasp, with card drafting, tile placement, and variable player powers that add a layer of strategy to the gameplay. The Water Festival brings a new level of excitement to the base game, with a river of four 2-sided cards that creates a unique landscape for players to build upon. As players compete to build their paddy, they'll need to pay attention to the features on the river, as having a majority of a particular feature can earn them scoring abilities. The Wet Season brings an intermediate scoring opportunity, while the Dry Season flips the river cards over, introducing a new level of randomness to the game's final scoring. With its short playtime and simple rules, The Water Festival is an excellent way to mix up your Seasons of Rice gameplay and experience the thrill of farming and tile placement in a whole new way. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a quick and fun expansion, The Water Festival is sure to delight.
