Description

Shadows of Brimstone: Other Worlds – Forest of the Dead is an immersive expansion that drops you into a haunting realm where the dead roam free among ancient, decayed trees. This shadowy world is the perfect setting for a cooperative adventure, where 1 to 6 players can team up to explore the forest, battling undead versions of familiar enemies and encountering new, terrifying creatures that lurk in the darkness. With a playtime of 90 to 120 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to delve into the mysteries of the forest, navigating through densely packed trees and crumbling stone ruins, all while trying to stay one step ahead of the hungry creatures that haunt the woods. The Forest of the Dead is full of surprises, with a unique set of encounters, artifacts, and map cards that ensure each playthrough is different from the last. The expansion also includes global rules that add a fresh twist to the gameplay, making the experience feel distinct from other Shadows of Brimstone adventures. As you pick your way through the fog-shrouded forest, you'll need to use all your wits and cunning to survive, shining your lantern's light through the darkness to uncover hidden treasures and avoid the creatures that lurk in the shadows. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, you can dive right into the action, rolling dice and moving through the modular board to create a unique experience each time you play. As part of the Shadows of Brimstone series, Forest of the Dead offers a wealth of opportunities for expansion and customization, with a range of additional packs and supplements available to enhance your gameplay experience. Designed by Jason C. Hill and published in 2019, this expansion is a must-have for fans of cooperative adventure games, fantasy, and horror.
