Description
In the 19th century, sea transport is booming and both corporations and naval forces are in need of newer and better ships. As a manufacturer, you'll need to hire employees, buy accessories, and get in good with the evaluating committees to stay ahead. With a playtime of 120 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to strategize and build your ships, but be warned, the game rules can be a bit complicated and might take some time to learn. You'll take turns choosing actions from the Action Track, moving around the table with up to 3 other players, and trying to complete ships to send out on a shakedown cruise in a canal. The player with the most points at the end, earned from speed, crew, equipment, and safety, will win, with bonus points awarded for Government Contracts. Designed by Vladimír Suchý, Shipyard is a game of economic strategy and industry, where you'll need to balance your resources and make the most of your opportunities to come out on top.
