Description

In Sixto, a game designed by Steffen Benndorf and Florian Benndorf, you'll be rolling dice and marking off numbers on your own player sheet in a quest to score the most points. The goal is simple: mark off as many numbers as you can, but be careful not to leave any lonely marks, as they'll actually count against you. Each player gets their own unique sheet, featuring six rows of numbers in different colors, with the digits 1-6 in a random order. This means that every game will be a little different, even with the same group of players. On your turn, you'll roll six colored dice, one for each row on your sheet. If you don't like the results, you can re-roll all six once, trying to get the numbers you need to fill in those rows. Then, for each die, you can choose to mark off the leftmost available number that matches the die result, skipping over any numbers that have already been marked. The twist is that skipped numbers can't be marked later, so you need to think strategically about which numbers to mark and when. The game ends when three dice have been removed from play, which happens when a player marks two spaces in a single row in the target area. With a playtime of just 15 minutes, Sixto is a quick and easy game to learn, making it perfect for groups of one to six players. The rules are simple, but the game still offers plenty of opportunities for strategy and excitement. You'll need to balance the risk of leaving lone marks with the reward of filling in rows and columns to score points. At the end of the game, you'll score each row and column on your sheet, losing points for lone marks and gaining points for rows and columns with multiple marks. The player with the highest score wins, so you'll need to think carefully about every mark you make. Released in 2023, Sixto is a fun and challenging game that's sure to provide hours of entertainment for players of all ages.
