Description

Splade is a fast-paced and strategic board game designed for 3 players, with a playtime of just 10 minutes. Despite its simplicity, the game requires a good amount of abstract thinking and planning ahead. The rules are easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, and the gameplay is engaging enough to keep experienced players coming back for more. The game takes place on a 4x4 grid, where players take turns placing colored spheres, trying to create lines of two colors to win the game. The twist in Splade is that the winner is determined not by who creates the line, but by their position in the player order. For example, if a player creates a line with two colors, they win if they are the player who goes immediately before the other player with a color in that line. This adds a layer of strategy, as players need to think carefully about when to block their opponents and when to make their move. With its simple yet engaging gameplay, Splade is a great option for those looking for a quick and challenging game. First published in 2011, Splade has become a favorite among fans of abstract strategy games, and its short playtime makes it perfect for a quick game night or a fun break from more complex games.
