Description

Surakarta is a unique and captivating abstract strategy game designed by the renowned Sid Sackson. This game is perfect for two players looking for a fun and challenging experience that can be learned quickly, despite its depth. The rules are easy to pick up, making it accessible to new players, but don't let that fool you - Surakarta requires strategic thinking to outmaneuver your opponent. The game's distinctive feature is its circular paths that loop around the corners of the board, which players must navigate to capture enemy pieces. As you play Surakarta, you'll need to think carefully about your moves, using the point to point movement mechanic to outsmart your opponent. The goal is to capture your opponent's pieces by looping around one or more of the circular paths before landing on a space occupied by an enemy piece. With a playtime of just 30 minutes, Surakarta is a great option for a quick gaming session, but be warned: its simplicity belies a depth of strategy that will keep you coming back for more. Whether you're a fan of abstract strategy games or just looking for something new and exciting, Surakarta is definitely worth checking out.
