Description

Target for Tonight is a solitaire board game that puts you in the cockpit of a British bomber during World War II, flying night missions over Nazi-occupied Europe from 1942 to 1945. As the player, you're in command of an individual RAF bomber, choosing from iconic planes like the Avro Lancaster, Short Stirling, Handley-Page Halifax, or the Vickers Wellington. With twelve campaigns to play through, each consisting of a series of individual missions, you'll experience the thrill and danger of flying these historic aircraft on a tour of duty that will test your skills and luck. The game is designed to simulate the real-life experiences of RAF pilots, putting you in the midst of the action as you navigate through the night skies, trying to complete your objectives while avoiding the German night fighter defense system. With a playtime of 60 to 180 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to become fully immersed in the game, weighing the risks and rewards of each decision as you try to survive your operational tour of duty. The game's rules are of normal complexity, making it easy for board game enthusiasts to learn and start playing right away. As a solo game, Target for Tonight offers a unique and engaging experience, allowing you to focus on your own strategy and decision-making without the need to coordinate with other players. With its combination of dice rolling, simulation, and solo gameplay, this game is perfect for fans of aviation, wargames, and World War II history. Designed by Steve Dixon and published in 2020, Target for Tonight is a must-play for anyone looking for a challenging and thrilling gaming experience that will keep them on the edge of their seat as they fly through the night skies, trying to complete their mission and make it back home alive.
