Friends and Communities with The Blob that Ate the City
Description
Imagine being a giant blob, taking over a city one roll of the dice at a time. In The Blob that Ate the City, you get to do just that, and it's a whole lot of fun. The game is easy to learn, so you can jump right in and start devouring the city. With its simple rules, you can play with a huge group of friends - up to 99 players can join in on the fun. Each round, you'll roll two dice, using one to draw a shape in the city and the other to grow the shape, slowly but surely taking over the metropolis. As you play, your blob will grow out of control, placing polyominoes in the city that are never the same. The goal is to eat and devour as many city shapes as possible, earning points for each one you consume. The game is quick, lasting only 20 to 30 minutes, but it's packed with excitement and unpredictability. With each roll of the dice, you'll have to strategically decide how to grow your blob and take over the city. The unpredictability of the dice rolls adds an extra layer of fun, as you never know what will happen next. After 16 rounds, the game comes to an end, and you'll tally up your points. Not only will you score points for each city piece you've devoured, but you'll also earn points for each square in your largest blob. The player with the most points is declared the winner, and with its unique blend of dice rolling and paper-and-pencil gameplay, The Blob that Ate the City is a game that's sure to entertain. Designed by Joe Hout and released in 2022, this game is a great addition to any game night, and its print-and-play format makes it easy to get started right away.
