Get ready to embark on a perilous journey in The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – A Shadow in the East, a thrilling expansion that throws you into the heart of darkness. As the power of Mordor spreads its evil influence across the realm, the once-peaceful lands of Rhûn are threatened, and it's up to you to stand against the forces of darkness. With one to two players taking on the challenge, you'll delve into three new quests that take you down the River Running, to the capital city of Dorwinion, and further into the Hills of Rhûn, all in a playtime of 60 to 120 minutes. As you assemble your Fellowship, you'll have access to new hero and player cards to customize your adventures, including the game's first double-sided hero, a new version of The One Ring, and a new card type in the form of contracts. Designed by Caleb Grace and published in 2019, this expansion kicks off the "Vengeance of Mordor" cycle with a bang, offering a cooperative gameplay experience with normal complexity that's easy to learn for fans of board games. With the fate of Middle-earth hanging in the balance, will you answer the call to adventure and join the fight against the forces of darkness, or will the shadow of Mordor consume everything in its path?
