Description
In The Palaces of Carrara, players navigate the intricate world of marble trading and building construction in Renaissance Italy. The goal is to buy marble at the lowest price possible, but beware - any discount will also benefit your opponents. This delicate balance of economics and strategy is at the heart of the game, designed by renowned creators Michael Kiesling and Wolfgang Kramer. As you play, you'll need to decide whether to invest in the buildings made from this exclusive marble or grab the expensive raw material when bigger buildings don't yield the expected profits. With a revised set of rules and a new advanced version, this second edition offers fresh strategies and scoring opportunities, including the introduction of statues that allow for multiple scoring paths. With 60 to 90 minutes of playtime, 2 to 4 players can enjoy the challenges and thrills of building and trading in this classic game.
