Tontine

Friends and Communities with Tontine

Description

Tontine is a card game of Victorian-era murder and betrayal, where 2 to 4 players take on the roles of former friends turned desperate opponents. Years after investing in a tontine, the last surviving members are left to fight for the remaining cash. Players must navigate a web of accidents, schemes, and actions to outmaneuver their opponents and claim the prize. With easy-to-learn rules and a short 20-minute playtime, Tontine is a quick and thrilling game of strategy and luck. Players can use accidents to force opponents to discard cards, schemes to grant special effects, and actions to gain an advantage. The game's simple rules belie a depth of complexity, making it a great choice for casual gamers and experienced players alike. First published in 2013, Tontine has been designed by Brian Mazurowski to deliver a fun and intense experience for all players.
