Description
Get ready for a battle of wits with TROSS!: Viking Chess, a strategic board game designed by Jon Dyer, Dan Lundberg, and Aaron Stimpson. In this abstract strategy game, you'll compete against an opponent in a game of area movement and grid movement, with the goal of capturing their throne space or trapping them on it. The twist is that you don't want to eliminate all of your opponent's pieces - in fact, the more pieces they have left on the board when you win, the higher your rank will be. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, TROSS!: Viking Chess is easy to learn but challenging to master. The game is played on a square grid, with pawns that can move forward or sideways, and barricades that can be used to funnel your opponent's pieces. As you navigate the board, you'll need to cleverly outwit your opponent, using tactics like sacrificing your own pieces to outmaneuver them. With a playtime of just 15 to 45 minutes, TROSS!: Viking Chess is the perfect game for a quick but intense battle of strategy and skill. Will you emerge victorious and claim the title of Warlord, or will you be left in the dust as a lowly Thrall? There's only one way to find out - gather a friend and get ready to clash in TROSS!: Viking Chess.
