Description
In the far-off future, the planet is facing a pollution crisis of epic proportions, and to combat this, scientists have created genetically engineered creatures that can devour pollutants and scrap materials. These Very Large Creatures, or V.L.C.'s, were designed to be cute and even machine washable, but things have taken a turn for the worse - some of them have gone rogue and are now chomping down on cities. As a player, you'll take on the role of either the V.L.C. or the city's inhabitants, and your goal is to either eat the city or stop the creature in its tracks. The game is incredibly simple to learn, with rules that can be explained quickly, making it accessible to anyone. Despite its simplicity, the game is a ton of fun, and the fact that you can use any miniatures you like adds a whole new level of creativity and humor to the game. Want to use your teddy bear as a V.L.C. and pit it against an army of toy soldiers? You can do that. The game's design allows for a huge amount of flexibility and customization, so you can let your imagination run wild and create all sorts of crazy scenarios. Plus, since the V.L.C.'s don't eat people and can reform after the game, you don't have to worry about anything getting too intense or serious. With a playtime of just 30 minutes, V.L.C. is a great game to pick up and play with a friend, and its lighthearted, humorous tone makes it a great choice for anyone looking for a fun, low-stakes gaming experience. First published in 1996, this game has been delighting players for years with its unique blend of science fiction, humor, and creativity. So why not give it a try? Grab some miniatures, pick a side, and get ready to join the battle between the V.L.C. and the city - it's going to be a wild ride.
