Description
Verräter is a game of strategy and deception for 3 to 4 players that plays out over about 60 minutes. Players are divided into two factions and must navigate the complexities of power and allegiance to emerge victorious. With a modular board and card drafting mechanics, each game is unique and requires players to think on their feet. The game's normal complexity makes it accessible to those familiar with board games, and the lack of necessary in-game text means language won't be a barrier to play. As players take on roles like Diplomat, Traitor, and Builder, they'll need to manage their hand carefully to make the most of their abilities. The Traitor role is particularly potent, allowing players to switch allegiances at the last minute and turn the tide of the game. With points awarded for winning districts, taking on key roles, and building counting-houses, players will need to balance short-term gains with long-term strategy to win.
