Description

Get ready to dive into the world of Victoriana like never before with the Casefile – The Ripper Returns expansion. This cooperative game is designed for 1 to 4 players and can be played in 45 to 90 minutes, making it the perfect addition to your gaming collection. The rules are simple and easy to learn, so you can jump right into the action. Published in 2019 by designers Benjamin Gailey and Brad Lawrence, this expansion builds on the original Victoriana game, adding a new layer of complexity and excitement. In this narrative-driven expansion, you and your team of investigators are tasked with solving the murder of a young woman, and the big question on everyone's mind is: has Jack the Ripper truly returned? As you work through the three-act story, you'll encounter new game mechanics, prose, and illustrations that bring the mystery to life. The twist is that the story changes based on your success or failure, and it'll take at least three games to complete the story. This means you'll have to use your deductive skills and work together with your team to uncover the truth. As you play through the expansion, you'll be rewarded with 12 brand new cards to add to the base game, including a brand new card type. This adds a fresh layer of depth to the game, giving you more options and strategies to explore. With its variable player powers and cooperative gameplay, Victoriana: Casefile – The Ripper Returns is the perfect expansion for fans of murder mysteries and deduction games. So gather your team, get ready to solve a gripping murder mystery, and find out if Jack the Ripper has really returned.
