Description

Get ready to take on the challenge of Waterloo Solitaire, a game of strategic solo play where you'll command either the French or Allied army in a series of 24 games. As the game's designer, Mike Wylie and Grant Wylie, envisioned, you'll experience the thrill of battling against an autonomous opponent, with the difficulty level varying from easy to hard. Whether you're playing as Napoleon or Wellington, your goal is clear: defeat your enemy or avoid defeat, with multiple paths to victory or loss. With each game lasting anywhere from 15 to 60 minutes, you can dive into a quick skirmish or a longer, more intense battle. The game's mechanics are easy to learn, but don't let that fool you - the gameplay is engaging and immersive, with dice rolling and paper-and-pencil elements that add to the excitement. As you issue actions and combine them with supporting tactics, you'll influence the outcome of battles and shape the course of the game. With a simple setup requiring just a pen and a 6-sided die, you can start playing right away. Published in 2021, Waterloo Solitaire offers a unique blend of historical context and strategic gameplay, making it a must-try for fans of Napoleonic-era wargames and solo players looking for a challenge.
