We Need To Talk is a unique blend of trick-taking and shedding, all centered around the theme of a doomed relationship. In this 30 to 45 minute game, 3 to 4 players will take turns collecting memories in the first half of each round, only to try and forget them in the next. The rules are easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, but the gameplay is engaging enough to keep experienced gamers on their toes. As a card game designed by Brendon Fong and published in 2024, We Need To Talk brings a fresh perspective to the table with its combination of drafting, hand management, ladder climbing, and trick-taking mechanics. As players navigate the ups and downs of the game, they'll be working to be the first to move on with their life, but it's not as easy as it sounds.
