Description

Imagine being on the front lines of a hypothetical World War III, where the Warsaw Pact armies are storming across the border of East Germany to seize West Germany and the rest of Free Europe. This is the intense world of World At War 85: Storming the Gap, a board game of fast and furious platoon-level combat. Designed by Matt Lohse and Keith Tracton, and published in 2019, this game drops you into the midst of a chaotic and desperate battle, where the fate of Europe hangs in the balance. With its unique combat system, which involves die rolls by both attacking and defending units, you'll experience the thrill of quick and brutal combat, where the outcome is never certain. As you play, you'll take on the role of a commander, making split-second decisions to outmaneuver your enemy and gain the upper hand. The game's chit-pull system, dice rolling, and grid movement all combine to create a sense of tension and uncertainty, while the hexagon grid and simulation mechanics ensure a realistic and immersive experience. Whether you're playing solo or with a friend, World At War 85: Storming the Gap offers a thrilling and challenging experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat for 60 to 120 minutes. With its normal complexity level, this game is accessible to anyone familiar with board games, making it the perfect addition to any gaming collection.
