Description

In the card game Xylotar, you're on a mission to revive the long lost xylotar, a musical instrument that was meant to revolutionize the music scene in the 80s. With the schematics in hand, you'll need to figure out how to make it work, and that's where the fun begins. The goal is to create the perfect blend of 80s synthesizer rock and modern carimba-style melodies, and the player who scores the most points will be the one to achieve moderate commercial success. Designed by Christopher Wray and published in 2024, Xylotar is a game that's easy to learn but challenging to master, making it a great fit for 2 to 5 players looking for a fun and interactive experience. As a trick-taking game, Xylotar requires deduction and observation to succeed. You'll only know the colors of your cards and their relative order, so you'll need to use your wits to figure out their values and bid strategically to gain extra points. With a playtime of just 30 minutes, Xylotar is a great game for a quick evening with friends or a fun family game night. And with an expansion pack, Xylotar: Unhinged, available for even more excitement, you'll be hooked from the very first note. So gather your friends, get ready to make some music, and see who can create the sweetest sounds and emerge victorious in Xylotar.
