Description

In YAK, the art of storytelling meets the thrill of deception, as 2 to 6 players take turns boasting about the exotic creatures they claim to have spotted in the mountains. With a set of simple rules that can be learned in no time, this 2015 game designed by Bono Light is all about having fun and outsmarting your friends. Each player starts with five cards, featuring one of five animals with quantities of 1, 2, or 3, and the goal is to convince the others that your tales are true, without getting caught in a lie. As the game unfolds, players add to the stack of cards, raising the stakes and the claims, either by increasing the number of animals or the size of the creatures. But beware, some players might be sneaking in special cards that can either reduce the numbers or make all animals appear as the same kind, adding a delicious twist to the game. The tension builds up until someone decides to call a bluff, flipping open the stack to reveal the truth. If the cards don't match the claims, the bluffer takes the penalty, but if they do, the caller gets punished instead. With its unique blend of bluffing and strategy, YAK is a captivating card game that will keep you on the edge of your seat. As the draw pile runs out, the player with the least penalty cards emerges as the winner, crowned the ultimate storyteller and master of deception. With its quick gameplay and simple rules, YAK is perfect for a fun night in with friends or family, and its animal-themed cards add a touch of whimsy to the experience. Whether you're a fan of card games, bluffing, or just love to spin a good yarn, YAK is an entertaining and engaging game that's sure to bring laughter and excitement to the table.
