Description

Get ready to unleash your inner artist and catch some supernatural creatures in Yokai Sketch, a thrilling card game for two players. In this 20-minute adventure, you'll delve into the world of Japanese mythology, collecting sets of yokai cards to score points. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, you'll be drawing and collecting these elusive forest spirits in no time. The game is designed by Ignasi Ferré and was published in 2023, bringing a fresh twist to the world of card games. As you play, you'll draw sketch cards that will help you complete your yokai collection. Each yokai card has a numerical value and is associated with one of four elements: water, fire, earth, and wind. By strategically placing your sketch cards, you'll try to accumulate the most sketches on your side of the table to catch the yokai. But be careful, as ties can frighten the yokai, causing it to disappear and leaving you empty-handed. With special abilities like calling or distracting the yokai, you'll need to stay focused and outmaneuver your opponent to win. Will you be the first to collect the most yokai points and emerge victorious? There's only one way to find out - grab a pencil and get ready to sketch your way to victory in Yokai Sketch.
