Description

Zone à Défendre is a cooperative board game that drops you into the midst of a real-world inspired struggle, where you'll play as occupants fighting against a destructive airport project. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, you can dive right into the action with 1 to 6 players, and games typically last between 60 to 90 minutes. Published in 2017, this game combines cooperative gameplay, card drafting, and worker placement mechanics to create a thrilling experience. As a "ZADist", you'll need to build, sow, communicate, and prevent the police from making progress, all while defending the agricultural and wild lands of Notre-Dame-des-Landes. You'll acquire skills like cultivating crops, learning techniques of activism, and even sabotage to slow down the bulldozers. With the help of your fellow players, you'll construct cabins, place barricades, mobilize external support, and harass the forces of order to demoralize them. But beware, the repression is ruthless, and you'll need to work together to outsmart the police and protect your land. With its unique blend of politics, strategy, and cooperation, Zone à Défendre is a game that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you fight for a world of simplicity and sharing.
