Description

K2: Broad Peak is an exciting expansion for the mountain-climbing game K2, designed by Adam Kałuża and published in 2011. This expansion offers a fresh set of challenges for 1 to 5 players, with playtime ranging from 30 to 60 minutes. The rules are easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, while the gameplay itself is engaging and fun. The expansion includes a double-sided game board featuring the twelfth-highest mountain in the world, Broad Peak, and introduces new rules and tokens to enhance the gaming experience. The expansion provides two unique challenges, "Race to the Top" and "Traverse of Broad Peaks", each with its own game board and rule changes. In "Race to the Top", players face a thrilling and quick game with fewer days, no tents, and limited acclimatization cards, requiring strategic hand management and simultaneous action selection. On the other hand, "Traverse of Broad Peaks" is a more strategic and longer game where players can earn additional victory points for traversing the mountain and reaching the top of each peak, utilizing point to point movement and memory to navigate the challenging terrain. To play K2: Broad Peak, you'll need a copy of the base game K2, but with its easy-to-learn rules and exciting gameplay, it's definitely worth the climb.
