Event Settings 🔧

We've added new options to help organizers manage attendance and voting visibility more effectively. On the event edit page, you’ll now find tools for limiting event seats and customizing how votes are displayed when using the "What are we playing?" feature. Here’s a quick overview of what’s new:

Limited seats can be found under other on the event edit page. It will allow you to limit how many can attend your event. It does not limit how many invites can be send. Seats are given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Vote visibility can also be found on the /edit page when you have 'What are we playing?' is enabled. We support the following formats:
- Public, everything is visible always.
- Anonymous, users and organizer can only see their own vote.
- Reveal, users can only see their own votes until 15 minutes before the event at which point everything is revealed.
- Reveal Anonymous, the result is revealed 15 minutes before the start of the event but votes stay anonymous.
- Hidden, only the organizer can see results and votes.

Folders 📁

You can create custom folders under /collection and share a direct link to specific folders with friends and family. Public folders also appear on your profile page.

We have updated how these folders are displayed such that comments and languages are now public when visiting the folder.

Technical - SSR🤖

We have improved the server-side rendering (SSR) on events and /search. The page will now appear to load faster as the server sends down how the initial page should look - before the client is downloaded and takes over rendering control.

As part of this, we changed how authentication is handled between the server and client and you will be asked to log in again next time you visit the site.

Funding Status 💗

Thanks to generous user support we are only $2 away from having hosting completely covered for the month of May. The site currently cost $43/month to operate and that is 14% covered by reoccurring user donations.

If you value what we’re building, consider supporting us on Ko-Fi. Your support helps keep the site ad-free for you and over 7300 users who collectively organize 700000 board games on Kallax. Donate any amount.

Thanks!
