Expansion Support đ§Š
Kallax categorizes games into different types of games now. Regular games are referred to as base games and expansions that can not be played by itself is referred to as expansions.
Games that can be played alone and works as an expansion to other games is referred to as standalone. The Smash Up-series is a good example of standalone where each game can be played by itself or together with other games from the series. This distinction does create some interesting edge-case, such as Small World being considered a standalone as it can be played together with Small World Underground.
/search updates đ
The major user-facing change in this release is new search filters. The following filters are now supported:
- Expansion: All (default), only expansions, exclude expansions
- Game Designers: All (default), only specific, exclude specific
- Artists: All (default), only specific, exclude specific
The search component has been reorganized to better accommodate the new filters. Inactive filters now appear greyed out with descriptive text (instead of just showing "Any" in blue). Once a filter is active, it turns blue and moves to the front section of the filters list. This should make it much easier to see which filters are currently applied. This should make it clearer which filters are active.
Hints / tooltips have been updated to show after hovered 500ms to prevent accidental activation when moving the cursor over. Tips are now shown above the filter instead of below to not interfere with options.
