Board game events with limited seating now supports wait lists. People who attempt to join after the event is already full will by default be added to a wait list. They will be notified and automatically changed to attending if a spot opens up. First come, first served.

This feature can be disabled in event settings.

Customization ✨

When we introduced groups and communities last year, the overview page already had a hidden customization feature. Every community came with a text module for introducing itself, but the goal was always to support more modules. It's finally here!

We are really looking forward to seeing what you can do with these. If you have ideas to other modules, don't hesitate to contact us via chat or Discord.

This is the same module as normal, it allows you to write markdown-like descriptions.

Links (Users, Groups and Community)
Add links to your website, BoardGameGeek, YouTube channel, and more.

Map (Groups and Community)
Add a small map showing where your community is. This module reads the location of the community itself, so it's only available if you have set one.

Collection Stats (User, Groups and Community)
Simple mode shows number of board games, expansions and how many you have added the last 30 days. Detailed mode adds a breakdown of complexity, playtime, player count and most common mechanics, categories and designers.

Game Picks (User, Groups and Community)
Pick up to 6 board games and have them shown on your profile.

Folder (User)
Show the games in your favorites, wish list or unplayed folder.

Team Members (Groups and Community)
Pick users from the members list to highlight. Each can have a title and/or a small description. Use it, for example, to indicate who the right person to contact is.

We have also enabled the overview page for groups now. If you are the group administrator then you can enable it under Manage → Overview.

Funding Status🫰

In May we introduced Enthusiast edition, a pay-what-you-want subscription to replace our recurring donations and just two months later we could announce that after 5 years of running the site with loss we were fully funded ❤️

We are now making ~75€/month which is enough for us to even make a small surplus. So far we have been building up a buffer to keep operating the site in case support drops, but we have started looking into ways to improve and expand our services.

This update adds a pricing page which attempt to explain our concept.
It's the same as before. The Enthusiast tier can still be claimed for free. If you want to support us, then great, otherwise just enter 0. We'll keep that model for as long as we have enough funds to cover the operating cost, which it seems we will continue to have.

• Local caching is now faster (up to ~40%) and allocates less memory.

• Fixed issue where an empty avatar would throw an exception on save
• Fixed issue where translator plug-ins could crash the application
• Fixed aria attributes and other minor HTML validity issues
