Menu, BGG Sync and more!

The site navigation menu has been reorganized. All the same features are available but now grouped together after functionality. Hopefully this is more intuitive.

Here is where everything moved:

Collection Editor => My Account / Data Editor (desktop only)
Communities / {community name} => Social / {community name}
Communities / Explore => Explore / Communities
Manage Folders => My Account / Game Folders
Wallpaper => Other / Wallpaper

BoardGameGeek 🔃

When you verify your BoardGameGeek account we now periodically check if your collection is up to date. The default setting is 'Notify' which means you will receive an in-app notification when we detect changes. Clicking the notification will take you to a page where you can resolve the differences.

You can disable this in settings or change to one of the other modes;

Import only will automatically add board games from BoardGameGeek to your collection but never remove or modify (recommended).

Auto will automatically add, modify and remove games from your Kallax.io collection to stay synchronized with BoardGameGeek.

New Community Types 🍻

We have added four new community types; store, bar, library and other.

The change is mainly cosmetic and the purpose is to allow users to better filter when using the community explore page. If you are a store that also sell coffee, or a café that doubles as a bar then pick the one that best matches the vibe of your community.

Store
A business that primary sells board games and preferably also hosts board game events or allows customers to play a subset of their collection in the store.

Bar or Pub
A bar or pub that preferably has a board game collection you are allowed to play from or as a minimum encourages people to play board games at their establishment.

Library
Library that allows people to either check out board games or play a selection of board games at the location.

Other
In case the place doesn't fit into Gaming Group, Local Community, Board Game Café, Gaming Club, Board Game Store, Library or Bar. It could for example be a public area that are often used for playing board games, such as a park.
