Description
In Patchwork, two players compete to build the most aesthetic and high-scoring patchwork quilt on a personal 9x9 game board. The game is easy to learn, and a typical playtime is between 15 to 30 minutes. Players take turns purchasing patches and adding them to their board, trying to fit them together as tightly as possible. Each patch has a button cost, time cost, and may feature buttons that earn income when passed on the time track. As players progress, they can claim bonus patches and earn extra points for filling in a 7x7 square on their board. The game ends when both players reach the central square of the time track, and scoring takes place. Players earn points for their buttons and completed quilt, but lose points for empty squares. With its unique blend of tile placement, time management, and economic strategy, Patchwork is a fun and challenging game designed by Uwe Rosenberg that's perfect for two players looking for a quick and engaging experience.
