Description

In the 1920s era, alternate-history world of Scythe, players take on the role of factions vying for control and fortune in a land marked by farming, war, and innovation. Each of the five factions has unique starting resources, locations, and hidden goals, setting the stage for a highly asymmetrical and engaging game. As players conquer territory, enlist recruits, and build structures, they must also navigate the intricacies of resource management and mech activation to outmaneuver their opponents. With a streamlined action-selection mechanism and no player elimination, Scythe offers a dynamic and immersive experience for 1 to 5 players. The game's engine-building aspects allow players to upgrade actions, build structures, and expand their borders, creating a sense of momentum and progress throughout the 90 to 115 minute playtime. With moderate in-game text and a range of expansions available, Scythe is a game that offers depth and replayability for fans of economic, fighting, and science fiction themes.
