Description

Skullbites is a wildly entertaining card game where you'll embark on an epic battle between good and evil, with a dash of fantasy and magic. The story goes that Bernadette Octavia the Witch has been cursed by some nasty Zodiac demons, and to break the curse, she needs to defeat the fierce red dragon Jamil Hendock and get her hands on his book of curse removal. But, as you can imagine, the dragon isn't going down without a fight, and he's hired some adventurers of his own to take on the witch's team. You and up to four other players will join the fray, each with two Adventurer cards, one face up and one hidden, each with its own health value and special power. As a trick-taking game, the goal is to play the highest card to win the trick, but be careful, because the loser of the trick gets damaged by all the other players' cards. That's where things get really interesting, because you can use one of your three elemental shields - wind, water, or fire - to block some of that damage, but each shield can only be used once, so you need to time it just right. As players get defeated, they reveal their hidden Adventurer card and keep on fighting, adding a fun layer of strategy to the game. With a playtime of just 10 to 30 minutes, it's easy to jump into a game of Skullbites, and the simple rules mean you can start playing right away. The battle rages on until one of the two camp leaders is defeated, and with the help of some storyteller cards that can tip the balance, it's hard to predict who will come out on top. Whether you're playing with two players or a full group of five, Skullbites is a thrilling and unpredictable game that's all about outsmarting your opponents and making the most of your Adventurer cards and shields.
