Description
In Formaggio, you'll take on the role of an Italian cheesemaker, competing to become the most prestigious in all of Italy. Designed by Ben Rosset, this easy-to-learn game is perfect for 1 to 4 players and can be played in just 30 to 45 minutes. As a simultaneous worker-placement game, you'll place your workers to make cheese and gather resources, with the board rotating to age your cheese and present new opportunities. With a focus on economic and farming strategies, you'll need to balance making and selling cheese with managing and upgrading your creamery to earn the most prestige points. As you play, you'll encounter a variety of challenges and opportunities, from pairing your cheese with wine at the Vigneto to selling it to restaurants along the Venetian canals. You'll also need to distribute cheese across the regions of Italy and deposit it in the Banca, a unique bank that accepts cheese as collateral. With new features like platinum-tier cheeses, seasonal rewards, and abilities on the player boards and structure tiles, Formaggio offers a fun and engaging experience that's full of variety and replayability. Whether you're playing alone or with friends, Formaggio is a delightful game that's sure to charm and challenge you.
