Description
Jalape-NO! is a trick-taking game that's all about dodging the heat to come out on top. First released in 1998, this classic game designed by Michael Kiesling and Wolfgang Kramer is simple to learn but packs a punch. With a playtime of just 45 minutes, it's the perfect addition to any game night, and with support for 3 to 9 players, everyone can get in on the fun. The goal is to end up with the lowest score possible, and to do that, you'll need to navigate the deck of 108 cards with care. Each round, you'll receive 12 cards and need to place any peppers on the table in front of you. From there, it's a game of strategy and skill, as you try to avoid winning tricks that contain peppers, which will cost you points at the end of the round. With each pepper worth 2 points and each card in the same suit as a pepper worth 1 point, the stakes are high. But don't worry, the rules are easy to pick up, and you'll be playing like a pro in no time. After five rounds, the player with the lowest score will be declared the winner, so gather your friends and get ready to see who can handle the heat in Jalape-NO!
