Description

In Capital Vices, you're a newcomer to the Capital, navigating a world where resources are scarce and temptation is around every corner. As you settle into this Renaissance-era community, you'll need to make tough decisions about how to distribute limited resources like food and money. The goal is to cultivate virtues and avoid the seven deadly sins, all while keeping an eye on your progress and the impact of your actions on those around you. With a playtime of just 20 to 30 minutes, this game is the perfect fit for a quick evening session with friends or a solo adventure. The game mechanics are straightforward, making it easy for board game enthusiasts to jump right in. Designed by Corey Andalora and Donnie Coleman, Capital Vices uses pattern building to create a sense of strategy and foresight. As you take actions to distribute colored resources, you'll earn virtues and work to avoid those pesky sin penalties. The catch is that ending a round with sin on your record means you won't score for that round, so you'll need to balance your individual progress with the well-being of the community. With one to four players able to join in, you can gather a group of friends or enjoy some solo time, working to accumulate the most virtue and earn those valuable bonus points. As you play, you'll discover that Capital Vices is all about finding that delicate balance between personal gain and the greater good. With its normal complexity level, the game rules are easy to learn, and the pattern building mechanics create a fun and engaging experience. First released in 2019, Capital Vices has been charming players with its unique blend of strategy and moral dilemma. The first player to reach 7 points at the end of a round is declared the winner, so you'll need to stay focused and adaptable to come out on top. Will you be able to navigate the challenges of the Capital and emerge victorious, or will the temptation of sin prove too great to resist?
