Description

In the Demise of Dr. Frankenstein, you'll embark on a thrilling adventure through a world of mad science and horror, inspired by the classic novel. The game is set in Eastern Europe, where a group of brilliant but unbalanced individuals are racing to create life and defy death. As one of these scientists, you'll roll dice to determine which actions you can take, from influencing the helpful but mischievous Igor to scavenging for body parts in the local graveyard. With the game designed for 2 to 4 players, you'll have to outwit and outmaneuver your opponents to achieve your goals. The rules of the game are easy to learn, making it accessible to players of all skill levels, and the gameplay is full of exciting and strategic moments. As you navigate the village, you'll need to visit various characters, such as the clinician, the trader, and the curator, to gather resources and build your creation. But be careful, as the villagers are growing increasingly angry and suspicious of your activities. When they finally reach their boiling point, they'll put an end to your experiments, and you'll have to score your victory points. The game consists of multiple rounds, with each player taking a turn as the starting player, and the last round will determine the ultimate winner. With its unique blend of dice rolling, variable player powers, and worker placement mechanics, The Demise of Dr. Frankenstein offers a fun and challenging experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Designed by Mark Hanny and first published in 2010, this game has been thrilling players for years with its grisly and often criminal undertones. Will you emerge as the legendary Dr. Frankenstein, or will you be just another failed scientist with a lab full of spare parts? With a playtime of around 60 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to find out and enjoy the thrilling world of mad science and horror that this game has to offer.
