Description
The year is 878 and England is on the brink of invasion as Viking armies prepare to thunder across the land. Players take on the roles of either the invading Vikings or the English nobles trying to withstand the onslaught. As Viking players, you'll lead Norsemen Viking freemen or fearless Berserker shock troops, while English players will command the King's household troops, regional noble leaders, or peasant levies. In this game of strategy and coordination, players work together to control cities on the map and outmaneuver their opponents. The English start with control of all of England, but Viking leaders will invade from the sea each turn, bringing new challenges and opportunities. With each side raising reinforcements and vying for control, the game ends with the Treaty of Wedmore, and the side controlling the most cities emerges victorious.
